Metaphor: ReFantazio is (almost) a Masterpiece | Game of the Year 2024
19Metaphor is a masterpiece... well, almost. A review of Metaphor: ReFantazio dissecting the political and religious commentary, gameplay mechanics, and celebrating Atlus' amazing year of game design. I put about 200 years into the game and saw almost everything that can be seen, including all NPC dialogues and 100% completion. Fantasy can change the world, and the truth is found between reality and fantasy. Metaphor is my game of the year, a game we should all engrave on our hearts.
Spoiler warning: I do show and discuss some minor mid-game and late-game content but nothing in-depth. Be forewarned if you haven't completed the game in full, including side content.
