Metaphor ReFantazio: The Perfected Craft of the Modern JRPG (Review)
219Metaphor ReFantazio is an incredible JRPG that has enshrined itself as a new pivotal and essential pillar in the library of games Atlus has developed and has proved to many people that turn-based RPGs can still be enthralling experiences that have much innovation, charm and personality.
Metaphor ReFantazio is a perfect encapsulation of all the learnings Atlus has acquired through their decades of developing RPGs within the worlds of Shin Megami Tensei and more recently the Persona series, whilst providing an experience that feels new and refreshing and served to us in a fantasy backdrop. I've loved my time playing Metaphor ReFantazio and I'm excited to dive back in and re-experience this game again in future, Metaphor ReFantazio is one of the best video games to release in 2024 and is my game of the year.
