My personal thoughts on Chesque: Chesque is actually a pretty tough little pawn. The gimmick is apparent the moment you start a match: unlike all other characters, it's *vertical* size is smaller, at 8 instead of 13. In compensation for this, the overload timer is extended and there's no water or fire elements present, a trait shared with only Quadrax. Because of the extended overload timer and less elements to deal with, Chesque can be surprisingly easy to survive with as long as you keep making matches and keep an eye on your overloading fields as the timer does get stricter as the match goes on. Furthermore, this will prove to bite back hard in tournament mode where overloading columns drain health and you need to conserve all you can get. Overall, a pretty good survivor all things considered.
