Now that Samus has downloaded the Missile data to her Fusion Suit, it's now time for her to get a taste of the first real threat she has faced so far in this game. This threat is in the form of a creature named Arachnus, which has been mimicked by the X parasite. This first boss isn't too terribly bad, as one might expect. He is a bit on the quick side, especially when he unleashes his slash attack and fire breath at you. Arachnus is vulnerable wherever his hard shell doesn't cover (namely his front), so make sure you blast him with Missiles every chance you get. For defeating him, you'll regain the Morph Ball ability, which makes sense considering how Arachnus can crawl up into a ball and tried to roll into you. We will also get a glimpse of who the culprit is behind all the explosions that have occurred on the B.S.L. so far.
