While Samus is busy fixing the atmospheric stabilizers in Sector 1, it's easy to forget that there is a boss waiting for her here. She actually faces it before she fixes all the stabilizers. It's not what you would expect it to be. What appears to be a simple Charge Beam upgrade at a Chozo statue ends up coming to life! The Charge Beam-X, or Elephant Bird as it is sometimes known as, is not a hard boss but rather an annoying one. Simply wait until it reveals its weak spot and blast it with Missiles. The Charge Beam itself can be helpful, but I find it falls in the same category as Mega Man's charge shot in that it's up to personal preference how much you want to use it. With that upgrade acquire, Samus just has to fix the fifth and final atmospheric stabilizer and she'll be done with this sector for now.
