In honor of the 30th anniversary of Nintendo's Metroid franchise, my next main series for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be the game that started it all! It will be a short one, so I'll probably continue the celebration with another Metroid game right afterwards. I already played Super Metroid earlier on my channel (I'll link that series in a card at the end of the video), but I actually had never played Metroid 2 before, and I really want to after seeing the recently-released fanmade remake.

Part 1 is pretty much just powering up in Brinstar, including a sequence break for the Varia Suit, which you're not normally supposed to get until after getting the High Jump Boots.
