Metroid Prime 3 e3 2006 Beta running in Dolphin
Dolphin is able to run most of the GameCube and Wii libraries, but did you know it's actually capable of running some games that run on neither? Dolphin is versatile enough to run some of the games designed for GameCube and Wii development systems, including this beta for Metroid Prime 3.
It does not run on retail GameCube or Wii; it requires at minimum the 48MB of MEM1 present on development units. Footage of this has been captured on Dolphin in the past, using modification to the source code in order to add extra RAM to the emulated machine. But now, as of 5.0-11969, you can easily change how much emulated RAM is available directly in Dolphin's Advanced Options.
Note: The video was recorded before we knew the exact requirements to run the game. It was originally thought to require 128MB, but it seems to run with as little as 48MB. It is unknown if increasing the memory higher results in any difference in performance.
