Now that we have the missles in tow, we can further explore the ruins. The missles can destroy the doors with blast shields on them. So we do just that. And it turns out there is a mini boss waiting for us. The Plated Beetle is easy to defeat. Wait for it to strafe twice, then move out of the way as it charges. Two missles is all it takes on Veteran mode. You will encounter this thing multiple times later, as it will replace some of the beetles you previously fought. Once you obtain the charge beam, you can destroy the Plated Beetle in one shot.
