56I came across a great piece of art on social media, and it made me think: who is Samus’ greatest foe in the Metroid series? Is there anything comparable to the Predator from which I got this video’s title? For me, there’s only one answer.
The scariest Metroid monster is the SA-X from Metroid Fusion. In this video, I’ll break down each encounter with the cloning parasite, examining how it stays intimidating even as Samus grows in strength. It really is a nasty little thing.
If you’re looking to play Fusion yourself, the best way these days is actually on Nintendo Switch. The 2002 Game Boy Advance classic was added to the Online Expansion Pack in March 2023.
