'Kraid' is the third boss in 'Metroid: Zero Mission' for the Nintendo 'Game Boy Advance', released on February 9th 2004. Kraid is found in the depths of the game's fourth area, which is also named 'Kraid'.

Woah, you know this dude must be tough if they named the entire area after him! Plus we got another cool cutscene. Kraid can be tough, if you're a little clumsy (like us!) prone to taking a lot of damage. Certainly not impossible though.

We were almost dead! Down to just 19 health and still managed to deal the finishing blow. Ok, what you need to do is fire a missile at his third eye. This will cause Kraid to open its mouth, giving you a brief window to fire missiles into its gaping maw.

It will swipe at you if you get too close and will periodically send its nails flying at you. You can destroy them for missiles or energy. As usual, as it takes progressively more damage, it will change color.

It will also eventually destroy the platforms, so you'll need to climb the claws it flings that get stuck to the wall. This is all actually a bit easier than it sounds. We were able to do it here on the first try!

When Kraid dies, one of the openings of that weird dragon door lights up and opens. This gives you a subtle hint as to where to go next.
