Double Fortify, make sure geologist is slotted, then go ham with the Sleep Hunting Horn and a Para Palico Weapon. You should be able to more or less completely lock most monsters you hunt with KO + Sleep + Para and do much more DPS than Sticky gunning. Your goal is to get max shinies, so this involves using the slinger ammo wallbang as often as possible. Nobody wants Grinding Lands to take longer than it needs to, and now it doesn't have to.
