In this game you are driving a Ford Mustang Cobra II from 1975, and the game is a street racing game with 8 tracks. Each track is divided into four stages, so all in all there is 32 different stages. You are racing against time and not against specific opponents, and the time you are given is the time you have to complete the whole track, it doesn’t matter how long time you are using on every of the four stages, you just have to complete the track before the timer reaches zero.

To help you, you always start with 6 turbos on every track, and you have a map on the top left of the screen, so you can see where you are and when you have to slow down because of sharp turns, and you can also see where there is a long straight line on the road, so you can activate the turbos.

The game plays really well, especially if you chose keyboard control. The time limit is realistic, you have a chance to complete the stages, and the collision detection is not super sensitive, which makes the game very playable. The scaling and use of colors is good, and this is a good and fast paced racer. Graphically it is not in the same league as Chase HQ, there is no objects on the road, there is no hills or tunnels, but still a good game, and where Chase HQ was a race and chase game, this is a pure street racer.

The game was published by Players Software in 1991.

Rating = 91%
