Check out part 4 of my Indie playthrough featuring the game Micetopia! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles on November 20th, 2020. It was developed by Ninja Rabbit Studio & published by Ratalaika Games.

In this video, Richie continues exploring the vast caves & defeats the giant, stone golem.

Micetopia is an indie, 2D, metroidvania style, side-scrolling platformer where the player takes control of a brave little mouse known as Richie. Richie lives in the magical kingdom of Micetopia, where mice live freely in an idyllic country village. One day, unknown forces of evil have kidnapped all of the villagers except for Richie and the elder of the village. Richie must venture out and fight, jump and explore his way through a world shrouded in mystery. The game includes many different enemies to fight and obstacles to overcome along with various powers to obtain. It is up to Richie to traverse the nearby cave and forest in search of the other villagers and restore their way of life.

The controls in this game are what you would expect from a game like this: you can use the left stick to move, the A button to jump, the B button to attack with Richie's sword, the X button to use the bow (once you obtain it), right bumper to perform a roll/dodge (once you obtain that power) and left bumper to view the map. Saving the villagers is what grants Richie these different powers/items and also allows the player to revisit areas that they weren't able to progress through before.

As for the achievements: the game includes a total of 15 achievements which add up to 1000 GS. In my opinion, this game was kind of a hit and miss due to various glitches that I encountered during my playthrough. The achievements themselves are not complicated to obtain, but there is one achievement in particular that gave me some trouble as it didn't pop when it was supposed to: the one for rescuing Aunt Rose. For some reason, during my playthrough she randomly appeared in town before I actually rescued her and I had to replay the game a second time for her to actually be in the spot where she needed to be so that I could rescue her.

With that being said, here is the full list of achievements:

1. Defeat a goblin and a bunny (2 achievements in total)
2. Rescue the various villagers (4 achievements in total)
3. Get the various powers/items (3 achievements in total)
4. Get 100 green gems
5. Find 1, 3, and 5 missing pieces of the fountain (3 achievements in total)
6. Defeat the Dragon and Golem Boss (2 achievements in total)
