Microsoft's Xbox One S console has been confirmed by Albert Penello to feature a higher clocked GPU (running at 913MHZ) and faster ESRAM compared to the vanilla xbox one launch system.

Additionally the Xbox One S allows better HDR support for developers, and allows full 4K video playback. Games will largely play at lower resolutions (1080P or below) and be upscaled, but in theory developers can run a full 4K frame buffer for the Xbox One S, if the title isn't particularly demanding.

The Xbox One S will be on sale for $299 US dollars for the 500GB model, with more expensive models available too.
