MIDI-Based Music Game - Dev Diary #0 - Proof of Concept
Note: This was recorded in 4 sessions at half speed with the controller viewer stitched together.
The general concept of the inputs of this demo goes as follows:
Left stick - "Melody" - Moves up for higher pitches, down for lower pitches
Right stick - "Harmony" - Flick up if chord is higher pitched then last, to the side of the same, and down if lower pitched
Shoulder buttons - "Rhythm" - Press to the beat, with a small score bonus for holding notes.
Triggers - "Dynamics" - Left trigger for quieter portions, Right trigger for louder portions, Both for "accents" (this is completely improv right now, obviously the actual game would have designated notes for this)
Song is Overwhelming Battle, by me.

Once the game is actually under development, I'll likely set up a Patreon for it, but in the mean time if you want to support me, feel free to do so on Ko-fi
