Correction: Part of the reason why Genso Network got killed by Capcom the first time around had to do with having updates paywalled -- which is legitimately a very questionable practice, but I'm pretty sure there's more to Capcom's objection there. The leaked source code was then grabbed by someone else and the game was translated into English and development was continued. I was completely wrong in this case. Oops.
