Migrating Papa John's e-commerce platform to Google Cloud
Papa John's is the world's third largest pizza chain, with over 5,000 stores worldwide. Over the past few years, the company has moved more than 65% of its revenue ($4 billion+) to digital channels, with a dedicated focus on its eCommerce platform. Papa John's eCommerce platform feeds multiple channels, including web, app, loyalty, and multiple delivery partners. The platform was custom developed a few years ago and needed to be moved to new technology and architecture to improve performance, especially in response to the unprecedented demands of the Covid pandemic.
In this breakout session, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities of migrating an eCommerce platform to the cloud. We will share our experience working with Papa John's and how we helped them to improve the performance, scalability, and flexibility of their eCommerce platform. We will also discuss the benefits of using Google Cloud for eCommerce platforms, such as:
• Scalability: Google Cloud can scale your eCommerce platform to meet the demands of your business, no matter how big or small.
• Reliability: Google Cloud is highly reliable and available, so you can be confident that your eCommerce platform will be up and running when you need it.
• Security: Google Cloud offers a wide range of security features to protect your eCommerce platform from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other threats.
• Cost-effectiveness: Google Cloud is a cost-effective way to host your eCommerce platform. You only pay for the resources you use, so you can save money without sacrificing performance or reliability.
