Ali Nadim is from Lahore, Pakistan. He is Muslim and his main rival is Ranjeet who is Sikh. Their rivalry is to portray the tensions in the Kashmir area between the Sikhs and Muslims. Ali Nadim is a comical character who amuses me in many episodes. He returns to class, Season 2, after he failed his exam in Season 1. He is the only student whose score is explicitly stated, which is 20 out of 100. He seems proud of it as the year before enrolling he didn't get anything. He is still very amusing in Season 2, with his dialogues and a lighter side is shown, where he pretended to be a homeless man with 2 wives and 6 children so he can help Ranjeet raise money for his air fare to Punjab, which is actually a remarkable act where he put aside his differences with Ranjeet so the latter can go see his mother.
