Minecraft has new ore... like, one. Cave update promised new cavern generation, but not so much on ores. However, they do fixing ore generation, and how ore mechanics work. Indeed, they have changed "Tradition" that iron/gold ores would drop the block itself; that's not the case, now you only get its "raw form". Not sure if that's good or not, but they can form a block... so what if we melt that?
