Q: What is this mod?
A: A mod that adds new Npcs, new items, new blocks, new achievements, new functionality and a *slight* RPG feel to your Minecraft day.
Q: Mobs? What kind and why would I want them?
A: Brand new leveled, named, unique, and tamable human and zombies.
Q: What else is there?
A: There are craft-able "totems" that have an effect on you and the world around you. Craft-able "trophies" are a feature I added with 3.4 as well, these allow you to have mini statues of any mob in your Minecraft. - Including things from other mods!
Q: Will this make the game harder?
A: Only if you want it to be harder. the new hostile Npcs don't spawn on peaceful so turn it up to hard for the ultimate battling experience.
Q: Will this really dampen Minecraft's play-style?
A: No, this mod was designed to be subtle and started out as an alternative to taming wolves. But if you want to level your Npcs and have a blast you can always find Npcs to fight. All tame Npcs can be stopped or stored anywhere in the world so there is no need to let them follow you around if you just want to build and be creative.
Q: Will this conflict with other mods?
A: Sooner or later you will find some mods that others conflict with. Don't fret however, there is a configuration file where you can set Block IDs.

Install instructions:
Install ModLoader.
Download either or both GenuineNpc or GenuineTrophy.
Make sure you DELETE ANY previous GenuineNpc from your minecraft.jar.
Copy and paste the Genuine zips you just downloaded into your "%APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods\" folder.
If you don't have a "mods" folder, make one.
Done.
