Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition G20, 3P local splitscreen Survival Mode, Preparing for mining.
We decided to continue where we left off in our 4-Player gameplay last time out. Thus our priorities where to finish equipping our house before preparing to go on a mining expedition. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro. The Storage Chest and Sheep.
All our things where put in a Storage Chest. Designed to expand the storage capacity of what we have on ourselves. Useful for storing back up material.
With that, the last essential was to equip the house with beds.
(14:17) Night of death.
We where caught outside during the night, where we faced a lot of deadly enemies. Given that we are in the initial stages of a game, I was not expecting such a deadly attack. In addition to Zombies and Creepers, various Skeletons approached and made our lives difficult.
On top of that, a Witch appeared and she too took out one of put team with poison.
I'm thinking the game's difficulty is greater the more players involved?
(22:14) Next day.
We recover until one of our team discovers a Village.
(27:50) Entering Village.
To accelerate things, our team leader proceeds to practically loot the entire Village, taking a lot of their crops. And even their beds. Guess we didn't need to acquire Sheeps to built the latter after all I suppose.
(34:14) Sleeping and next day.
Having our house equipped with beds meant that we can sleep through the night, allowing us to bypass that time. That won't work however, if there are enemies close enough. That would mean we would have to dispatch them first, before we hit the beds.
On the next day we build swords and acquired some armor from wandering enemies.
(42:01) Find a cave to get coal.
Here, we set up to find a cave. The first order of that is to acquire coal. Topically located near the entrance. That is necessary to craft more advanced tools and weapons for effective mining in deeper areas of such caves.
