Minecraft: PS3 Edition - Potential Lava Duplication (Maybe Patched IDK)
This weird glitch may let us be able to duplicate Lava (Maybe)!
I was using 1.25 of Minecraft PS3 and I cannot use the latest version (1.84), as I get a "Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition could not be read" error, so I cannot say if this will work on any other version or edition of the game.
The reason why I think this happens is:
The lava gets placed for 1 tick. The game then checks if the lava should be placed there, and it detects it shouldn't. The menu box then shows up, telling you that you can't place lava there.
The menu interrupts the full removal of the lava depending on when it happens in the tick, so the lava gets glitched to think it's in that block space, but also not in the block space at the same time. Using a bucket fills said bucket with invalid lava.
As you can see in the video, when I picked up the glitched lava with the bucket, my total amount of empty buckets when down to 2, but went back to 3 a tick later. This indicates, to me, that the game couldn't modify the total amount of empty buckets I have but still gave me the glitched lava bucket, as it is a different item in the game code.
When placing the glitched lava bucket in-game, opening my inventory or opening chests the game ect; the game checks to see if there are any invalid items in my inventory (and since the glitched lava bucket doesn't technically exist), the game removes it from my inventory.
Also when placing the glitched lava bucket in-game, the lava and the bucket it only lasts for 1 tick. The game must have checks in this case, to verify every block placed or item used is a valid item.
