More Game Developers are pushing Sony to add Cross-play between the Ps4 and Xbox One. Recently Sony refused Mojang/ Microsoft when they proposed a cross-play features as a part of the Better Together Update. Now more game developers such as Rockstar "Red Dead Redemption 2" and Psyonix "Rocket League" are relentlessly pursuing this feature for their games.The more game developers that want this feature the more likely PS4 minecraft cross play will come!

Red Dead Redemption felt like the start of something special (despite being a sequel itself to 2004’s Red Dead Revolver), and fans will soon get to jump straight back into the action.
Officially announced in October, 2016, Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally scheduled for release in late 2017. So why would Sony tell them no?
“I wish I had the answer to that,” Dunham said. “The only thing that we know is that we can’t do it yet. I can tell you this: From Psyonix, we would do whatever we would need to do to make it possible to be cross-network play with all the other platforms and PlayStation 4. They just need to tell us what that is.”
