Minecraft UHC Living Underground is a combination of playing on UHC (ultra hardcore) mode and following a list of house rules.
After playing Minecraft for some years I got bored and found the Terrafirmacraft mod and really enjoyed it. Then I discovered the
Better Than Wolves mod and really, really enjoyed it. Now I'm ready for something new again, so that's why I created this challenge.

Putting the game into UHC mode is very easy and requires nothing to download. See the video below on how to do this. In UHC mode
you must use a golden apple to regenerate health and if you die, game over!

UHC mode is tough in itself, but I decided to add a list of house rules to make the game even more challenging, they are listed below.

UHC Living Underground House Rules:

1. You must go underground at the end of the first day (when night starts). If while underground you find a cave that goes to the surface, you cannot leave cave entrance (sky cannot be above you).

2. The only way to regain health is from a golden apple or health potions dropped by mobs. You cannot craft any potions that will regain health.

3. You cannot strip mine or dig horizontally. To search for caves you must stair step up and down. If you hear water or lava, you can
dig horizontally to where you hear it.

4. If you find a mine cart in a abandoned mine shaft you are then allowed to dig horizontally, but must place rails as you go and the rails
cannot be removed once placed. You can also you mine cart to traverse the rails.

5. While living Underground, cannot create mob farms. All mob spawners found must be destroyed or blocked off.

6. If you get a carrot dropped from a zombie or a full suit of gold armor from mobs, you can stair step to the surface. Once you reach the surface, you must stay within a 25 block range of where you broke through to the surface. Within this area you may farm Endermen to acquire (12) Ender Pearls. Note that you can go to the surface after each additional carrot or full suit of gold armor.

7. After you acquire (12) Ender Pearls you can the build a Nether Portal underground or near your Enderman farm so long as in 25 block area. After you acquire the materials from the Nether to convert the (12) Ender Pearls to Eyes of Ender (need blaze rods), you can the return to the surface and search for the Stronghold.

8. While using the Eyes of Ender to search for Stronghold, you must not deviate from the directions they are directing you to. You may not gather resources or kill animals during the search. Once you find the End Portal and fill every slot with the Eyes of Ender, you are then free from living underground! Keep in mind that rules #2, #3 and #4 still apply while living above ground.
