Minecraft Wednesday!... And some insight into our struggles with High Functioning Autism in SGKid.
0A bit of a disruption in the Spectrum Gaming Family household today. Ethan was digging his heels in about school.
We also heard from the school about his levels of humming and cat sounds he is making in class and it's increased which I think is perhaps due to the serotonin making him more relaxed in school and so his behaviour is like that which we experience at home.
We are wondering if the anxiety is actually something he may well have to deal with until he passes the audibles stage if that ever happens, I SGDad remember making sounds and not knowing why I don't do it now so I know he will get out of that stage.
Right now it feels like, do we make him suffer the anxiety so he can remain in school and not be disruptive, which he says he hates because it's boring and James a class colleague, scares him with his outbursts, I believe James is also someone needing the Interventionist EA in class too, or do we keep him on the serotonin and the school will have to find a way to deal with it or do we try an alternative education method like homeschooling?!
