I'm playing through my huge backlog of games, and thought I'd start out with some of my newest acquisitions, but these are a bit different. I'm giving my father a series of new games, since he has been playing the same one for years. He seems to like games that are full of strategy, low on non-mitigatable randomness, with the ability to master them over the long term.

Mini Metro is the first of those games, and boy is it a great game! You slowly build your subway network, until it becomes too big to move all the people fast enough. Add new train lines, reorganize connections, make stations more efficient, and still more people come... I do enjoy it quite a bit, and will probably play some more of it in the years to come.
