For a few months, I have been using this method to mine Etherium in the background on my main PC when it would normally run a screen saver. I can have this script running in the background mining some crypto when I walk away from my PC for a while. I have been using it for making some Etherium for minting NFTs and other related activities, so it is a nice way to just be making some money on an otherwise idle PC.
