So here we start a casual run of SMB3.
I decided on the All-Stars version of the game because it remains largely unchanged from the original 8-bit game. As such, I went with a 2-player co-op style game because I like Luigi.. and All-Stars finally made use of custom Luigi sprites, instead of a straight up recolor of Mario.
SMB3 is also the first game where it actually feels like both players work together, so there's virtually no harm in doing a run using both Mario and Luigi.. even as just one person playing. Sure, a one player game would put every powerup on one character.. but eh.
I stopped at World 3-8 because I believe that is the second Boss Bass stage with an even worse high tide/low tide mechanic than the first one. Was already getting somewhat annoyed at my poor play prior to that.. and didn't feel like getting flat out frustrated.
So we'll get to that later. :)
