Mint's Shiny Pokémon Journey - Part 3
1FINALLY, Gen 6 and 7 are done!
So here are a few things in this video and a few things I want to mention. And yes, thanks to Sarah’s Webcam, I was able to record like I did before with direct male to male 3.5 audio jack to capture direct audio and the webcam was able to record the screen, so no desynced audio like the good old days. P:
First, I show off my best times in the Super Training Minigame, if you do all 30 on a single Pokémon you can then talk to a blackbelt on Dewford island and get the ribbon. I did it for about 14 Pokémon in total, which, if you do the minigame 30 times a piece, you can quickly do the math on why I was able to get a lot of records in this by the end of it I case you are wondering, the Pokémon to go from fully EV trained to doing all 30 Super training battles is about 30 minutes, 50 if I need to get a Pokémon fully EV trained first.
Second, The Battle Maison, it cheats, like a lot. So many Knock outs against me from conveniently activated quick claws and sheer cold and fissure hits. It took quite some time, but I did get the ribbons I wanted on the Regi Trio and Mawile. So I got a good chunk of Pokemon the Normal battle ribbons and moved everyone up to Gen 7.
In gen 7, I start off the replay by showing all the Battle Royale matches I did. I didn’t do every pokemon but I did get 29/42 ribbons for the Shinys from 3rd gen. I viewed a few to showcase what the battles are like for those who have never done them before, but for a ribbon, it's pretty easy to get with a Mega Mawile.
Also in this generation Bottle caps exist, so I can finally repair some bad IVs on a few Pokemon. Natures.. Not so much. But that can be in gen 8 and 9.
Next, the Normal Tree Double battle, it doesn’t reduce your level, so the Regi Trio and Mawile all got their ribbon, and after this video goes up, I will be spamming Kyogre as much as I can for a bunch of easy Normal Tree Ribbons.
As for the Super Single Battle, I needed to do the Durant Truant Entrainment Strat. Its tried and true, but man, it's SUPER slow to do, and some bad luck can send you back, but Mawile as of typing this up is the only one to get the Master Tree Ribbon. The Regi Trio and Sudowoodo will be the others I get it with eventually. But for making the video, I wanted to get it shown on how the Pokémon got the Ribbon. A pinned comment will be below with a resource video explaining it. I knew about it a long time ago, but @iStarlyTV made an excellent video about it.
After this, it's gen 8. For any Pokémon that can go, it's first to Brilliant Diamond for the E4 Ribbon and a few contest ribbons if I want and then Shield to get E4 and Tower Ribbon. Once that is done, gen 9, anything there I can get friendship, reset Evs, do what I want and eventually play ranked matches for a master ranked Ribbon. Though thankfully as of beating the 3DS ribbons, I will be in time to get the one Mythical in the Shiny Pokémon a Ribbon in time for September.
The last thing is the 3DS tracker for how much time you spend playing games. I wanted to show how much time actually went into this. It's… a lot. But you can also see when I moved to BC and packing took over around July 16th to 25th or so.
All that said, once I get the Normal battle ribbons, I can easily move things up and get the next video done of the gen 8 stuff. (:
Gen 9 might be me streaming and trying to win matches or I’ll try to record and isolate them later, but I won’t bother showing ALL of them just… cause that is a lot.
