The latest Mirror's Edge 2 gameplay trailer introduces a mysterious character in black who infiltrates the same laboratory as Faith. Later, the would-be thief catches a beatdown from the baddie's enforcer while Faith flees with the intended loot.
The character in black remains unidentified by producer Sara Jansson, but what's the betting he or she is affiliated with Black November, the new faction designated as terrorists by the city's corrupt ruling class.
It points towards Catalyst's new investment in its own fiction, with more substantial lore and more complex characters after the light-touch storytelling of the first game; even if corporate bigwig Gabriel Kruger is at first blush the archetypal besuited baddie, Jansson promises a more nuanced antagonist this time around.
