Playing this game with minimal tweaking in a pre-release version of WinlatorXR, it didn't crash this time!

Q: Where do I get WinlatorXR?
A: WinlatorXR is on SideQuest! Get it here https://sidequestvr.com/app/37320/winlatorxr

Q: Where can I find out more and share about WinlatorXR?
A: Come check out our subreddit! https://www.reddit.com/r/winlatorxr/

Q: What IS Winlator XR?
A: WinlatorXR is a modified version of Winlator (Android app for running Windows games) to add some functionality that benefits the Meta Quest platform and support input from the gamepads and some VERY BASIC 3DOF gesture based mouse control by default. Most of the XR functionality was added onto Winlator by the prolific VR emulator and port dev: Luboš V.

Q: Why "(NOT) VR" in the title?
A: Because while it is running ON your VR device (eg: Meta Quest 3/3S, Pro, or 2), it is still a flat panel being displayed, and has no true 6DOF motion tracking or gesture controls (unless using an application that takes advantage of its 6DOF XrAPI specifically)

There is a way to display SBS content in 3D if you can force a game to render the left and right eye separately (eg: Reshade or built-in stereo view)

Q: How do you look around?
A: In fullscreen mode (click left thumbstick) you literally look around using your head! Most FPS games or games modded with an FPS mode can take advantage of this out of the box. In the windowed mode, you use the position of your right controller (Eg: up/left/right/down to move the mouse around), this is amazing for RTS games like StarCraft.

Q: What are the XR specific controls?
A: The non-remappable controls are: Left thumbstick click to toggle between big/small screen, Right thumbstick click to toggle the popup menu of options, and Left Grip + Left thumbstick click to toggle SBS rendering (left eye gets left half, right eye gets right half of screen), Right thumbstick left/right to shift the mouse (or in FPS games, turn) left or right

Q: How do I prevent freezing during app loading?
A: Some applications will not freeze during load if you click the Right thumbstick and leave the popup menu open, this is a workaround for now

Q: Where do I get the GAMES?
A: GOG is great for DRM free game installers, otherwise you'll need to find your own

Q: How do I get [your_game_here] to work or run without LAG!??!
A: This is sadly the hard part of Winlator still, it's very unstable and there is no "one size fits all" solution for the graphics rendering and container configuration settings. Patience combined with trial and error may be your best option!
