📙 I have a MiSTer! Let's try out 3 classic PlayStation games. Today I'm playing From Software's first 'Armored Core' game from 1997, especially interesting now that the 6th game is releasing very soon. It's a mission-based mech-based third person shooter.
'Beast Wars: Transformers' from 1997, is another third person shooter with giant robots. It is a bit simpler to play, due to only having a few weapons and no vertical aiming (like DOOM). I fall down a cliff and the mission starts over, which ruined my motivation to keep playing.
Finally, we take a quick look at Technos Japan's 3D Tetris game 'Geom Cube' from 1994. It quite similar to the Polish-developed Amiga classic 'Blockout', and there is actually a link between the two. In 1989, Technos Japan made an excellent arcade port of Blockout, and this game seems like a spiritual sequel to that game.

The MiSTer is a FPGA-based open source emulation system that emulates a large variety of computers, consoles and arcade games from the 1990s and older.
