雷諾車隊（Renault F1）於20世紀70年代後期到20世紀80年代早期參加了一級方程式賽車。而雷諾車隊在2002年通過接手義大利著名成衣品牌班尼頓所成立的班尼頓車隊（Benetton）回到F1這項運動中。 雷諾車隊在牛津完成對底盤的設計，引擎的設計則在法國的Viry-Châtillon進行。
雷諾開始F1的比賽是在1977年的最後五站比賽中，由Jean-Pierre Jabouille著唯一的一輛賽車參賽的。雷諾的RS10引擎在當時是非常出名的，因為那是在F1歷史上第一台正規的渦輪發動機。Jabouille的賽車和引擎的確是非常不可靠的，它無法完成比賽，甚至在它第一次亮相參加比賽的時候，被取了個綽號叫「黃色的茶壺」。
