Moment of truth for Queen’s Gurkha Engineers in final combat test
553After 10 weeks training, 43 new Gurkhas have successfully qualified as fully fledged sappers.
They arrived in the UK in February 2024, spent 9 months doing basic infantry training in Catterick, before being selected to join the Queen's Gurkha Engineers.
This course at the Royal School of Military Engineering in Minley, equipped them with skills in basic combat engineering, allowing them to wear the coveted red stable belt.
