Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - Vs Malzeno (Sword and Shield)
0Garangolm and Lunagaron are the pillars of Sunbreak. But there's actually three of them. Meet Malzeno, the flagship monster of the expansion. Garangolm is Frankenstein's monster in rock form, Lunagaron is an ice werewolf and Malzeno is Dracula. The final 5-star monster to deal with and the last of the elder dragon gauntlet I encountered with followers. 6-star monsters will be next.
Needless to say, THIS was my best run fighting a Malzeno and using Fiorayne, both utilising Sword and Shield, felt like synchorised hunting with Metsu Shoryugeki counters and perfect combos when Malzeno was down. I am happy to have end this run with this performance, not to mention realising just how easy of an elder dragon he is with the Sword and Shield's proper skills equipped. This was gonna be a Long Sword attempt but after one off-camera run I went with my main Rise weapon. It felt so satisfying to finally get it right and with Fiorayne as well.
