Hello everyone, and welcome to my channel.
In today's video, I am testing Monster Hunter World on Linux and Windows. My pick of Linux distribution is Ubuntu 21.04, where I have Mesa-git and Xanmod kernel installed. Also, Variable Rate Shading is enabled withvkBasalt. On Windows, VRS is also enabled, but it isn't supported in this title.
In my opinion, VRS+vkBasalt is very useful stuff and can give a nice performance boost.
In an upcoming video, I will test VRS on vs off in some games.
DXVK in the game uses much more VRAM, and VKD3D has some glitches, mainly on the ground. So Monster Hunter World isn't perfect on Linux, but totally playable.
