Monster Party: Title Screen & Round 1: Dark World
2I'm playing through this random game due to Halloween appearing in a couple days. I'm making sure this the last video I have for this game gets uploaded on Halloween Day.
This game was made by the Japanese-based Human Entertainment and published by Bandai. The reason I bring that up is because ironically, it never actually got released in Japan. It was going to be, but it was canceled, but had it came out, it would've looked a bit more gruesome than this version of the game.

This game can be both pretty weird and pretty creepy. There will be times where it just doesn't make any sense!
The story is what was said in the intro: A young boy named Mark was traveling back home from a baseball game, but then he saw a star in the sky and the star turned out to actually be some kind of bird dragon called Bert, crashing near Mark.
Bert needs Mark's help with saving his scary world from a terrible evil, and he thinks that Mark's bat will help get that done.
Mark doesn't think he can do this on his own, so Bert uses his power to become one with him, that when the game starts in Round 1.

As Mark, you mainly just run, jump, and smack monsters with his bat. You can also deflect projectiles with the bat, quickly drop yourself to the ground from a jump and squirm around like a worm.
If you can get a pill, Mark will turn into Bert, and can fly around and shoot things instead. This is only temporary, though, and I don't get a pill in this Round.
Halfway into Round 1, when you pass by that big green thing called a Haniwa, the happy-looking level turns downright scary, the monsters you come across also change at this point.
The way to beating these rounds is that you have to find different bosses in different rooms within the Round so you can get a Key that opens a door to the next round.
The bosses you have to fight here are a man-eating plant, & a pumpkin-headed ghost. Between them is another boss you don't even have to kill, because he's already dead!
It looks like some kind of red lizard or turtle. Just wait for a few seconds and you'll be able to leave that room.
