Moon Raider Kickstarter Demo Playthrough

Here's my short review: It's really fun and straight forward. There's not much backtracking (like in metroidvania style games), which I like. Still, sometimes it's not very obvious where you need to go, which is a bit of a level design flaw. A lot of the time you have to choose to go in different ways. You go to one place, figure out that you need to open a door and then you have to return all the way back. You can shoot up, but you cannot jump and shoot down. You also cannot press down and jump to jump down from 1-way-up platforms. You cannot look too much up and down, so it's almost useless. It would be much better, if you'll be able to look further down and up. There are some green deadly plants, which are too much indistinguishable from the local environment. And the levels felt a bit underwhelming in terms of variety. I mean they all blend in and nothing really stands out (except the bosses). Obviously there are some things that needs fixing (some issues with bosses) and more polishing (especially with when using the crystals dash mechanic), but overall it's a pretty good platformer.
