Nerdarchy assembles once again to plumb the depths of the 5th edition dungeons and dragons monster manual. Kenku is one of the more obscure D&D monsters, but interesting none the less. For some reason they make me think of monstrous humanoid yakuza. These creatures make great organized crime monsters or cults with in a urban fantasy setting. They could be thieves guild unto themselves participating in gang war with other guilds in a fantasy city. Or maybe they are blight on a city roaming the streets in gangs begging for coins and food. There is a ton of interesting ways to use these monsters in your D&D campaign.
