Diving back into the DM's guide this time to take a look at the optional rules- plot points. There is three different ways offered up to use them in your D&D game. Plot points are like Fate points or hero points from the games FATE Core and Mutants and Masterminds. Though you'd have to combine hero points from else where in the DMG and plot points to get the full effect of either of those systems. Plot points offer a way for the players to affect the narrative of the story in a rpg game.
