The home console versions of Mortal Kombat received censorship, but in the Genesis/Mega Drive version it is possible to disable censorship through secret codes. The most famous code was ABACABB, which enabled blood and fatalities in its uncensored versions. But there was another cheat code a little less known called DULLARD, it enables a secret menu with many more options.
GAME INFO:
Mortal Kombat is an arcade fighting game developed and published by Midway in 1992. It is the first entry in the Mortal Kombat series and subsequently was released by Acclaim Entertainment for nearly every home platform of the time.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch, using MAME core. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the image of a CRT monitor screen. I also use a bezel above the game, with a image of arcade machines, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
