Mortal Kombat 1 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600U (Vega 7) | HD 720p FSR 2
New Mortal Kombat 1 is not only a new era of franchise and new story is also new graphics new physics and new requirements for our PCs.
The game was released in 2023 for every major gaming platform.
Firstly game has very high system requirements, especially for graphics components. In theory, the game requires a GPU with a minimum 4 GB VRAM which is a big NO for every integrated GPU out there.
In practice, the Ryzen 5000 series had no problems running MK1 at all ... awesome.
I had to run Mortal Kombat 1 in 720p resolution with AMD FSR 2 set on Ultra Performance and Low graphics details with absolutely everything switched off (if possible).
The game looked ok (I was expecting much worse). There were pixels all over the screen but still, you can play and see the difference between the character and the stage :D
The game runs on average 40+ fps (30 fps for any non-gameplay mode like menu and cutscenes) which is not that bad at all and I can say it is fully playable at this point even in online fights.
iGPU was maxed at all times while the CPU was sitting somewhere between 30 - 40%. The biggest issue was RAM usage which hit almost 20 GB at a certain point. This is an issue wherever we have to deal with integrated graphics because textures are loaded to RAM instead of dedicated GPU VRAM.
The audio was clear and sharp and there were no problems with it at any point.
