Skull and Bones on integrated GPU ... is it possible? | AMD Ryzen 5 5600U (Vega 7) | HD 720p
The newest game from Ubisoft: Skull and Bones just reached an open beta stage and is about to be released.
Can the game be run on an integrated GPU?
The answer is NO ... at least not at this stage.
I've tried to run it on my Ryzen 5 5600U with integrated Vega 7 GPU.
The game started, I could watch the cutscene, and then some weird artefacts happened over the screen. I could hear the game in the background and then when I held LT (aim), the game revealed itself on my screen. As long I hold LT I could play it, well at least at some point.
The game crashed after the sea battle finished and I couldn't start it again since then.
I believe Skull and Bones can be run on integrated graphics but some advanced graphics options (that are not available from the settings menu) have to be switched off.
There is still a chance that the game will run on integrated GPU when we get the final version of it. It would be a shame if iGPUs were excluded from cards that can run this game.
