Mortal Kombat: Armageddon - All Characters Hidden and Unlocked
5Short clip showing all the characters from the Wii edition of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. This is the biggest edition of this roster as it includes the N64 exclusive character Khameleon added in.
Oddly I only noticed this today but ALL the characters (Aside from Goro and Kintaro) have the exact same fighting pose.
MKA had mixed reviews upon release. Whilst this was the biggest roster (at that time) adding in almost every character in the franchise. The developers had this strange idea to REMOVE everyone's individual fatalities and replace them with generic garbage ones that everyone can do.
Frost no longer freezes and smashes her opponent.
Scorpion no longer takes his mask off and burns his opponent.
Liu Kang no longer becomes a Dragon and bites his opponent in half.
Mileena no longer decaps her opponent.
Raiden no longer zaps his opponent to a crisp.
You get the point I'm making. It's just utter madness that the Developers added in all these characters who already mostly had their individual fatalities from either Deadily Alliance or Deception and just choose to remove them.
It's like having Street Fighter but without Ryu, Ken, Chun Li or others that you'd expect to be there. So yeah a lot of people were not happy about this and most felt that it made Deception still seem like the better game.
What's added fuel to the fire is that they also removed individual character endings for everyone. Instead of seeing images of what happens (Like in previous games) we now just get everyone standing ontop of the Pyramid fighting on their own whilst the announcer tells us the end.
MKA wasn't a bad game but it certainly didn't do itself any favours by taking a lot of key features from the franchise away.
