I’ll admit, this July does feel a little bit slow for gaming, but I still think we’re getting some pretty exciting stuff.
Let’s start with the Switch. This month’s big game is Pikmin 4, and it releases on July 21st.
Personally, I’m a little disappointed, because this game looks super fun, but it won't have the same full co-op campaign that we got with Pikmin 3 Deluxe.
That’s a bummer, but, fortunately, we won't have to wait long for a proper co-op experience, as Disney Illusion Island is dropping on July 28th, and is also a Switch exclusive.
A pure platformer with no combat - the developers say they focused on making satisfying movement the core gameplay experience.
If you're not on Switch, Capcom has you covered with Exoprimal, which is coming to PC as well as current and last gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles on July 14th.
Rifts in spacetime have unleashed dinosaur outbreaks around the world. You’re competing against the dinosaurs as well as other teams of players.
Finally, Remnant 2 is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on July 25th. I’ve heard it described as “3rd person shooter meets dark souls”, which is definitely an intriguing premise.
