Today's one-minute game review is on Cat Quest 2, played in co-op in 2023.

Don't let the art style fool you; this is a fully-featured, legit action RPG that just happens to feature a cutesy medieval cat and dog as main characters.

You can play solo, but this game is tailor-made for playing as a duo.

Local co-op RPGs are pretty rare, especially ones with this much charm. There’s tons of humor, and more pet puns than you could imagine.

Cat Quest 2 is super approachable. There's one button for attack, one for dodge, and the shoulder buttons control magic abilities.

Everything can be exchanged and upgraded, but it's all very straightforward, so you won't get menu fatigue.

Also, every main quest, side quest, and dungeon is clearly marked with recommended levels. Follow these, and you'll always know if you're ready for a challenge or not.

Our only complaint was that, by the end, the combat does start to feel a little repetitive.

If you're a die-hard RPG fan, you might find things to be a little too simplistic, but Cat Quest 2 is a great, unintimidating way to introduce yourself or someone else to RPGs.
