Who is your favorite character?
These are the most popular characters in video games from 2004 up until 2022. Numbers indicate monthly google searches, based on google trends. May not be 100% accurate.
Not every character is included. For example, characters who gained their popularity from a movie, a series, or an anime and then got their own video game were not included. Also, only Pikachu was included from Pokemon. League of Legends characters were not included (there is a separate video on that).

-How is this video made?
-I collect data from Google Trends for each character individually. A reminder that Google does not provide the exact number of searches for each term. So, by using external tools that utilize Google's APIs and Google's Keyword Planner, it is made possible to obtain values for historical search volume. Although not entirely exact, these values are relatively accurate.
-Later, I compile and check all of the downloaded data in an excel file.
-I use Flourish Studio to generate the visualization using that completed file.
-The visualization is then enhanced with music and video resources using Wondershare Filmora to produce the finished product, which is the uploaded video you see above.
