This part introduces the mysterious new character who only appears in Redux. You can tell she is shoehorned in by how overdone her bits are relative to everything else, but she ends up being a reasonable addition to the plot, attempting to fix obvious flaws with the original endings. In my opinion, Alex does not solve these issues. They are too fundamental to the story as it exists.
