this is a how-to for installing Windows 95 OSR2 (Win95B) on top of MS-DOS/Windows 3.1 or Windows For Workgroups 3.11 and also for dual boot purposes. I didn't demonstrate how booting into 'Previous version of MS-DOS' will break the Windows 95 boot record resulting in what I call the FLASHING CURSOR OF DEATH. I do provide solutions for preventing boot record mayhem.
this was achieved by installing MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows For Workgroups 3.11 first, then Windows 95 OSR2 (using simple filename renaming trickery to get around needing an Upgrade version that doesn't exist).
