No Music.. No Talking.. But you can READ right? OLD PC Gamer going to XBOX Console, while still using the PC.. My XBOX Series X at MSRP finally arrived from Amazon.. received it around 5:30pm and by 8:30pm this flight was finished recording, and used the recording built in XBOX X onto a flash drive.. As easy as using the record from NVIDIA's overlay on PC, but at 50fps?.. everything from the start worked just fine! Joined the Game Pass family.. Added an external 5TB drive(https://amzn.to/3EbW6N2) for game backups, instead of downloading over again.. added a cheap USB Hub (https://amzn.to/3rJXP7F), a keyboard and mouse and a 128GB Flash Drive(https://amzn.to/3vigNTJ) to record these videos. Which I can look at on the XBOX or transfer, view and upload from my PC to Youtube. The XBOX X will record up to an hour at a time..no editing with this video.. just start and stop.. I am lazy like that.. not bad at all!

I have to say I am more than impressed with this little xbox's power for 499.00 (Don't pay scalper prices ever though).. I do all I can do to keep my 8700k CPU & 1070 GPU PC above 60FPS in MSFS and this little "console", was doing 80 - 110FPS easily! And I can't mess up the GPU settings because there are none under Graphics settings! Honestly, that surprised me. I didn't have a way to show FPS, but my monitor has FPS overlay capability that matches my utilities on PC, so it was showing me the 85-110. it felt nice.. Mouse and Keyboard worked fine as did the controller. Unfortunate for me, none of my PC Flight Sticks, rudder or yoke are supported at this time in XBOX Series X.. C'mon MS, this is your flagship game. Oh, the Edge Browser works fine for the Internet and the BlueRay plays my old DVD's just fine.. many apps available, like Pluto.tv etc etc.. all work fine. It is basically a small footprint powerhouse of an x86 computer.. If they could only add Quest 2 VR...sigh

Although I signed up for the XBOX GamePass Ultimate to get games on both systems, I noticed they are all standard versions. Also, I am going to miss my MSFS community folder more than I thought. I really miss Meigs field airport (KCGX), along with a few community planes. Purchasing anything for the game pass version seems like more of a waste. most games on the GamePass do not interest me, so maybe just purchasing a few of the games I like is the right way to go for me. Of-course I have to add up the purchase vs GamePass value.. The Box itself seems to be made really well, but I did notice this thing gets hot after a flight and the recording. Flash drive even gets hot, when removing to place in PC. This has been my first impressions on day one.

Remember.. My flight videos are how "not" to fly.. but still have fun.. I just put these up for me to look back on.. they are not always something people may like.. and I am "ok" with that.. Enjoy
